SEC Softball Tournament Open Thread: Day Two

| Game 6 - 4:30 pm | #1 Alabama vs #5 Georgia |
Live Stats | ESPN3.com | TV: ESPNU |
The Good News: Auburn's upset of Florida and Georgia's victory over LSU, the only team to sweep Alabama this season (or to sweep the Tide since 2004), cleared arguably the two most dangerous teams we could possibly face from the bracket.
The Bad News: The Dawgs took LSU to the woodshed yesterday with a five inning, 9-0 mercy rule victory. Though we swept them in Tuscaloosa earlier in the season (and they have been maddeningly inconsistent all year, sweeping Florida in Gainseville but dropping two to Auburn), you have to look at yesterday's victory and hope we aren't catching the Dawgs as they are really hitting their stride. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30pm CST with TV coverage provided by ESPNU and radio coverage on WVUA-FM 90.7.

Game over.
Yeah, I know it’s only 1-0 in the first inning, but it’s clear which way the wind is blowing.
Congratulations. We’ll see y’all in Oklahoma City. Now go beat Tennessee.
Go 'Dawgs!
Any word on if they're going to finish tonight?
Looks like the storm should be through by 7:00/7:30
I am definitely rooting
for Alabama, but I am in love with Laura Trout

You don't throw behind like that by accident...

I just have never seen that before
granted, I only catch a few games a year.

It's not common.
Then again, neither are 2:24 rain delays or a freshman pitching complete games on consecutive nights. And even the ESPNU people were kinda implying that it might’ve been.

Heartbreaker.
Bases loaded, 2 outs, down 4-2, Amanda Locke hits a long ball and the right fielder caught it in foul territory. Well crap :(

I thought it was inside the pole
but could be mistaken.

You're probably right.
Espn3’s been sketching out something awful on me, and the announcer said foul territory and I believed her. Didn’t actually see the ball, due to the fail that is ESPN3.

Well no such luck tonight
The Ladies made a great last ditch effort but came up about 4 feet short. Locke almost hit a grand slam to win it, but it went 196 feet, and needed to go 200.
Does this team know how to lose in a non-heartbreaking fashion?
I mean, losing always sucks, but sometimes it’s a dull pain, and other times it’s a punch to the gut. With softball, it always seems to be the latter.
