Since it's an Insider article, I'll share: Todd McShay has Dre Kirkpatrick going 11th, Trent Richardson 12th, and Robert Lester (really?) 27th. Richardson and Lester would be the top players at their positions.

Nah.

Look at this year’s draft. The first CB went a full 20 picks before the first RB.

Actually that is exactly what a year early mock draft is about

Since nobody knows what team will be picking when, you can’t really address team needs, so you go by best player available.

The first cornerback this year was Patrick Peterson

Dre will have to improve a lot more than he has in order to even be mentioned in the same breath as Peterson

Weird

I certainly see a lot of potential in both Kirkpatrick and Lester, but they would both have to see a LOT of improvement this year to be drafted as high as they are listed. Not that I would complain to see that happen. Anyway, I would think that Trent being behind Dre has something to do with the positions. Regardless of which teams need what positions, it just seems like NFL teams don’t want to draft RBs too early.

Are Hightower or Upshaw on there anywhere?
