The number one question surrounding Alabama football this off season is who will be the starting quarterback for the 2011Crimson Tide - standout sophmore A.J. McCarron or redshirt frosh Phillip Sims. The duo turned in almost identical performances in the Spring A Day game and their individual skill sets make them difficult to evaluate side-by-side.

While Coach Saban doesn't seem to be sweating it, ("Based on these two guys' leadership and personality, I don't think it's critical to the team that somebody needs to be the first-team quarterback right now," quoth he.) it's the number one concern for pundits wanting to project the team's prospects.
