A.J. McCarron and Phillip Sims are expected to battle it out in the fall for Alabama's starting QB slot.
The number one question surrounding Alabama football this off season is who will be the starting quarterback for the 2011Crimson Tide - standout sophmore A.J. McCarron or redshirt frosh Phillip Sims. The duo turned in almost identical performances in the Spring A Day game and their individual skill sets make them difficult to evaluate side-by-side.
While Coach Saban doesn't seem to be sweating it, ("Based on these two guys' leadership and personality, I don't think it's critical to the team that somebody needs to be the first-team quarterback right now," quoth he.) it's the number one concern for pundits wanting to project the team's prospects. And don't lie, you've been wondering about it yourself.
So lets kick off the RBR off-season poll series with this pressing question: Who will be Alabama's starting quarterback come Sept. 3?
