I can only imagine the pressure on this guy.

You won’t regret your (final) choice. We’ll see you Roll with the Tide later this summer!

Charles Martel, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Raymond IV the Count of Toulouse, Godfrey of Bouillon, Baldwin of Boulogne, Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, St. Joan of Arc and Napoleon Bonaparte -- all of good stock.

Seems well spoken and smart atleast.

And it’s before he’s gone through the “media lessons”.

Kind of puts a doubt on the cheating accusations, especially for what must be a 9th grade class based on the name “Earth Science”.

Dude has been through a lot. Welcome to Bama.

I could say, jeez, its just college football, but I’d get flagged, right?

Proud mini-Saban.

"Dude has been through a lot"

Mostly brought on by himself. Let’s hope he’s all he’s cracked up to be. He has to show a hell of a lot more loyalty to BAMA than he has showed so far for me to fully support him coming here. Cyrus too. Some of these 5 star prima donnas really piss me off.

Not being snarky:
He has to show a hell of a lot more loyalty to BAMA than he has showed so far

He hasn’t even enrolled yet. Yes, Alabama recruited him and offered him a scholarship, but so did several other schools. What loyalty has Alabama earned yet?

[And yes, I understand that when people subject-line a post with “not being snarky,” it’s normally snarky, but I’m really not trying to be snarky here. Just trying to ask exactly what existential reason this kid has to be loyal to Alabama yet, and I mean this as a legitimate question. Did his parents go to Alabama, did some Alabama scientist cure his childhood illness? Is there some reason he owes loyalty to Alabama before enrolling there?]

Thirteen.

He was an Alabama commit...

…and a longtime one at that, when he dons our biggest rival’s hat on national television without even informing the coaching staff he was switching. Embarrassing and classless IMO. Yeah, he’s a kid, but that doesn’t excuse all because plenty of 17-18 year olds do things the right way.

I didn't...

…and money can make people do lots of stupid things. I’m not gonna give up on him yet.

Good to see you posting again, bv.

Loving the subtle-but-deadly slam on the Barn.

Changing his mind wasn't the big deal...

It was the way he did it to cause us the most pain – just like a Barner. I hope Coach Saban’s faith in him is warranted.

My guess...

…is that he did just as the man with the money told him to do. Character has to be developed, and people come from all kinds of different backgrounds with all kinds of different inherent traits and qualities. Was his action disappointing? You bet. Does it mean he’s forever a waste of time? No more than most anyone else you know. He may disappoint us again, but if CNS is willing to bet on him, so am I.
