Eddie Lacy torn pec muscle

This is definitely not good for our lack of depth at running back. Lets hope that he does not need season ending surgery and maybe rehab can get him back soon. We could be down to just 3 RB's. T-Rich, Fowler, and Calloway. I'm sure Saban will have a plan

I think its time...
to go after whoever North Carolina’s Running Back was since Butch Davis is out now.
everybody panic
hated, hated C. Grant leaving
Dee Hart out
Goode you can’t blame
Calloway will truly get his shot if this is true, and probably for the better, as we are LOADED at LB (remember when we could say that for RB????)
The two headed beast of Richardson and Fowler will be a spectacle this year. I really do believe this.*

First of all we have no idea how bad it is.
It is still 2 months until Arky and 3 1/2 months to LSU so maybe he can return.
Second, Blake Sims just got switched to RB and Ely is now 3rd string. (This is what I’m guessing)
Third, this really could be bad for us. Seriously our offense is not designed for TR to get 25 carries a game.
Fourth, that walk on RB that had the good run at A-day is licking his chops.
Finally, as best we can we need to eliminate weight room injuries. Is it really that important if you can lift 450 as compared to 425?
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
what was the name of that walk on?

EVERYBODY BREATHE
Coach Saban will not react emotionally. We should not either. There are lots of good players on this team. We will be ok.
We need someone who can "pressure the hole"!
(yes, TWSS) As Mark Ingram used to say. I’m confident we’ve got some quality athletes lining up for their chance.
Dream last night..
We got blown out by a team in red. It was like 50-0. Scared the crap out of me. Now this news…dang it to crap.

this is why i think the 2-3 weeks thing is spot on.
word got out that lacey got hurt…pectoral. coaches are waiting to get results and maybe a second opinion or something. they want to wait until they have definitive answers as to what the injury is, and what the timeline is.
i think he is hurt, and i think the coaches are waiting to say something.

McElwain offensive philosophy
This might sound crazy but I seriously believe his H-back philosophy is getting us in trouble. When we use the H-back he never gets the ball, McElwain only uses them to only to block.I truly believe we need to get back to using the Fullback. If we used the Fullback we would at least have some more guys that can run the ball. Instead all we got is blockers. The one back offense needs to go.

That's the problem
If we are going to use the Tightend as an H-back as much we do, I think we need to allow them carry the ball from time to time. So they can get the feel for taking the hand off and running. The H-back should be more than blocking and catching if they are filling the position a fullback would usually fill.

Who caught the ball?
Upchurch was lined as a fullback. Cody was the H back offset to the left of Upchurch.

Do you need all your pec muscles to run the ball?
I thought pecs were just for show; they’re not really necessary unless you need to knock down a pass or something.
if he tore his pec
he can’t lift anything to do with the upper body…no Bicep, tricep, back, lat or anything of the sort…
