I give the guy credit for trying to come up with creative ways to have a playoff without calling it a playoff. However, the fact that the braintrust at SI chose to use a photo of Cousins with this caption: "Kirk Cousins and Michigan State could have improved their BCS chances last season by playing in an additional late-season game." is completely laughable. How does this strengthen or support in any way the argument for Cuban's idea? The caption would be more appropriate as: "Under Cuban's plan, this guy would have led his hapless and over-rated team into a beating by someone other than Alabama. That would have at least saved them some embarrasment - maybe."
