RBR Week 2 Pick'em Results

 Cfbpickem_medium

Its Wednesday morning and you know what that means. Pick'em time. With Week 2 in the books we are starting to see who are contenders and who the pretenders are. Don't you worry though, my #41 ranking is just a ploy...Ill be making my push here soon enough.

Below are the top 20 rankings for both groups. Remember: You are competing against BOTH groups.

 Pickem_medium

Well done for those of you who are actually good at this.  Destindude takes the weekly "I hate you cause you're better than me at Pick'em" prize with an astounding 20 point week. The weekly Bag O'dicks is a 5 way tie with only 12 points..Upnorthbama, Since1831, toofull, Squinky86 and RedinBatonRouge can decide exactly how to split up the Bag..y'alls call.

Though with only 4 points separating #40 and #1 it's pretty much any ones game. Ill say this, if you're within 15 points of the leader you still have a shot. If they forget to pick just one week you're right back in it. (at least this is what I keep telling myself)

The spread is up for Week 3 and I suggest going over and making your picks NOW so you don't forget. THE FIRST GAME IS THIS THURSDAY NIGHT! DON'T FORGET!!!

And as always leave your thoughts about last week and the upcoming games in the comments below.

The fact that he's calling for BOD

makes me a little anxious.

how bad am I at this?

Pretty Bad I guess…..number like 63 and falling. These spreads are getting ridiculous. Bama by 46…sure we could name the score on this game but Coach Saban will turn off the jets before we start going into that territory. Of course, we will make the spread and then lose it because we give the Mean Green a junk touchdown or field goal. With Arky next week, I am sure that is what the Coaches and players are thinking about. Of courese, the Nicktator will hear no such nonsense.

Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is. - Josey Wales

how about that LSU vs Moo line..something nots right there.

Or ND is favored by 5 against MSU..I dont understand that one. Sure ND scores points early but their heads have to be scrammbled eggs by now.

As I understand it

The line changes based on bets.

When people bet on 1 team alot, the spread starts to adjust from it. So if everyone is putting their money on Alabama covering the spread, the spread keeps getting bigger. If everyone is putting money on Alabama to not cover the spread, then the spread gets smaller.

I was in Vegas for the superbowl a few years ago. And there were people who were just sitting around the lobby waiting to see if they could get the right spread.

Sadly...

apart from turnovers ND has been killing their opponents in Total Offense. Their defense is terrible, but their offense has been putting up good yards. If they don’t turn the ball over they should cover that pretty easy. Though I think you are right about that other big factor, “mental toughness” which there is almost no way they have any by now.

yeah i just see ND as they always have been..

flashy but duds at the same time. MSU can keep up. Either Vegas doesn’t believe in MSU (they are #17 btw) or the ND faithful have lost their damn minds and are dumping tons of money on ND.

Thank you Banner it's DestinduNe.

I would like to accept that trophy on behalf of blind nuts finding squirrels or some $hit. Anyway I am liking being on top because after this week I will surely fall.
