Bama players released/cut by NFL teams.
Sadly as NFL team trim their rosters to the 53 man limit there are several former Bama players that are unemployed now. JPW was released by the Falcons, Ramzee Robinson was let go by the Browns, Chavis Williams didn't make the Ravens roster and Brodie Croyle's attempt to back up Kevin Kolb in Arizonia ended as the Cards cut him. Here are some of the transactions from yesterday - http://www.kansascity.com/2011/09/03/3119664/nfltransactions.html.
Really hate it for JPW as he seemed to be the solid #2 to Matt Ryan in the ATL - the lockout really hurt him and due to some stupid NFL policy he was not able to start practicing until well into August - http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/video/nfl/2011/07/31/Falcons_King_NFL_Falcons_rules.SportsIllustrated/

JPW was never the number two in ATL.
He narrowly beat out DJ Shockley for third-string in 2009 and stuck last year but never developed. Chris Redman of Luhvuhl is the backup.

Good.
He’ll be back if the unthinkable happens.

Anthony Madison was cut by the Lions as well, I am sure Madison will show up on the Steelers roster at some point.
Lorenzo Washington was cut by the Jets.
