RBR WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS RANDOM 10
Well after a crazy year, The Crimson Tide is National Champs (like I have to tell y’all). Anyway, when we won (couldn’t be at the game) I listened to, and I know it is corny; We are the Champions by Queen. My question to you is what was the first song you listened to after we won the game? Note: This does not include the songs played in the stadium or Rammer Jammer (we all heard that song because we were the ones singing it). So after answering the question post your random tunes. Roll Tide Roll 14 time National Champions! In addition, if I may quote 5026, "14 is important mainly because now it makes 15 within reach." So here is to number 14 and may 15 be on its way soon! On to the tunes
1. The adventures of Greggery Peccary – Frank Zappa
2. I ain’t the one – Lynyrd Skynyrd (live)
3. 54 Corvette – The Customs
4. Electric Avenue – Eddy Grant
5. Fire Water Burn – The Bloodhound Gang
6. John Finn’s Wife – Nick Cave (live)
7. Shout – Isley Brothers
8. I want to know what love is – Foreigner
9. Redneck Romeo – Confederate Railroad
10. Heartbreaker – Black Crowes with Jimmy Page (live)
PS was wrting the RBR post but got beat by spock so as not to waste the time it has been included

Is this the real life? Is it just fantasy? 10:
Electric Avenue! Summer of ’84, kept hearing some guy singing that in the hall, finally met him — it was Joey Jones. Some renovations or something made some athletes move out of Bryant Hall into our dorm for a bit. Nice fella. Great WR.
1st song after leaving the game party: got in my truck to head home, CD changer was on “Manic Depression”, Seal with Jeff Beck from that Hendrix tribute disc. Beck really can bring that Hendrix on-the-edge-of-chaos noise…
1 Beatles – Something
2 Television – Adventure
3 Dickies – I’m OK You’re OK
4 Boz Scaggs with Duane Allman – Loan Me A Dime
5 Bob Dylan – Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright
6 Boomtown Rats – She’s So Modern
7 ZZ Top – Heard It On the X
8 Black Sabbath – Fairies Wear Boots
9 Elliott Smith – Thirteen (Big Star song!)
10 John Mayall’s Bluebreakers with Peter Green – The Supernatural
BONUS – The Stooges – RAW POWER!
Ultimate BONUS, JJ...

Thanks. We need someone to do a video tribute to the team with it.
I visualize many impressive hits and running plays, gang tackles of would-be punt returners, etc.
I'd use it...

I got married Judge!
And I totally recommend it! I hear you’re next up for the nuptials, eh?
How’d that woman wrangle your ride? If it’s any consolation- and truth be told: if you love your girl like I love mine, your days DO become brighter when you’ve got a ring on your finger. It’s a total trip. I thought I’d feel all boxed in and weighed-down? But I didn’t, haven’t and will never feel that I will. It’s almost like “liberation”. I know what I’m doing for the rest of my life and I know my girl wants to be with me just as much, if not more, than I want to be with her. Each and every single moment we can.
We’re worried about kids though. I’ll tell you this much: they’d better be WAY A WHOLE HECKUVA LOT CUTER than my wife! Because I can smooch her when I’m sleeping. And if I am to fall in love with our baby (ies)- I hope they get my number right quick and forever because. . . . . .my wife is more beautiful than the word beautiful.
Good luck Judge. I hope your new wife has as impeccable taste for life, football, and music as you do. You deserve only the best!

Bix I'm getting married Sept. 28th and Congrats on your wedding
Well Bix she got me by being real, understanding, funny, sweet, intellegent, and last but not least beautiful.
She may be a Yankee but she is the tops. A year ago she didn’t even know college FB more or less Alabama. Now, she follows all the games and prolly knows more than I about the current team. Also, the 28th is a Friday because she didn’t want me to miss the Ole Miss game.
She makes me happier than I thought possible.
Catch you on the flip, bix.
(Disclaimer: This is The GTO Judge’s mobile posts so you are being warned of the following: The Judge can not spell and his grammar ain’t no good. Now that's C-L-E--V-E-R! (14)
How come you didn’t think of that Spock? I know, I know- me too! I’m too busy being happy.
The only bummer thing that’s come out of this game is my lucky socks have a hole in the damn heel part. I’m bummed too because I’ve got to wash my new championship shirt. And. . . . .I think, – well, OK! I know I accidentally left a great bottle of wine and an expensive bottle of Scotch in the hotel room. (both unopened).
Scary thing: I realized I didn’t drink nearly half as much as I was planning on. It’s either a good or bad thing. Haven’t figured it out yet?
by BixBeiderbecke on Jan 13, 2012 11:29 AM CST up reply actions
Yeah, I seriously limited my alcohol intake, just because I wanted clarity so as not to miss a moment...
My condolences on leaving the good Scotch behind.
It gets bad. . . .
. . . .real bad.
The bottle I “thought” I left- well, it turns out it wasn’t a 12-year Lagavulin. It was one of my only 4 bottles of 25-year Lagavulin. (I was deliberating before we flew out. Either, or? It was a special occasion. It’s just that it took me and my friends/family forever to get through the Balvenie and Taliskers)
“Everything in perspective” is what my wife says. And you know what? She’s right.

Joker's "National Champ" R10...er...R14
Other than the SportsCenter theme music after the game, I’m not sure what the very first song was that I heard.
2011 was a rough year for me (and many of you too, I know) but this NC definitely lifted my spirits and is an omen that this year will be better. I know my Dad is sittin’ with Coach Bryant and I firmly believe they kinda helped out a bit this season. Hell, he may have been behind the whole rematch scenario just to see how many Bama-haters he could piss off. But I miss you Dad and hope you had a great time watching this season unfold…Defense first would have been right up your alley!

Yeah man! And if you call it, just punch in the number that best reflects the H&O SONG THAT YOU JUST GOTTA FREAKING HEAR at that given moment.
I used to love to sing the “Rich Girl” song, but only because I was like- negative 5 years old and I got to say “bitch” and not get slapped, whupped, or have my mouth full of soap in a NY second after saying it. (can you belive my mama didn’t even let us say “butt”. we had to say “tookiss” or- worse. . . . “seat”. ???? my mama!)

. . . .she had no reservations about teaching us right and wrong in any place, time, or setting? Then yeah, she had LOTS OF CLASS!
She’s awesome Joker, and thank you for saying that. She’s a big reason I’m a Tide fan. (you shoulda heard her talk “sh_t” on the phone with me before the game. she was mad about all the gobbledygook surrounding LSU. she went to New Orleans for some Jazzercize thing a few years back and came home early that weekend. she couldn’t handle being in the South without having plans to meet up with some of her family and folk. she tells everybody she wants to be there when the Lord calls her. so, that’s another reason she came home early- she’s superstitious as heck! we’ve got plans for taking our whole family back to Bentonville, Arkansas next summer. yes, I’ll be planning on getting fat with beer, Bear, and food. old stories, great stories, and lots and lots of kissing and hugging. man I missed my people when I was in New Orleans, too. Life is just as rough as it is sweet)
Kind thoughts and positive vibrations go out to you and yours, in memory of your father and his love for our shared love: The Alabama Crimson Tide!

Not too long ago. . .
. . . .there was this huge neighborhood yard sale- this nug-a-saurus (super-fine-hoTT-woman-over-45) was selling this 3-disc set of The Clash. When the “Combat Rock” disc flipped on and the jams started flowing. . . . .I was in a Spock-groove (a’la up above).
“Straight To Hell” turned the mood a bit somber, but I was nevertheless undeterred from swangin’ my money maker to that one anyway.
“. . . . .clear as winter ice, . . . . .this is your paradise. . . .” Insane song written to provoke discussion on corporate greed, the loss of jobs and industries, and practically a generation of folks without a sense of “home”.

Tre Mason, also known as “Tre La Soul”, is in fact an Auburnite. I know it puts a damper on things, but hey, just this once, we’ll let boogs boogie and try not to hold it against them. Why don’t we boogie down to this one ourselves….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3kgjzUsDeg Maybe that can help ease the pain.

You're not going to believe this!
I was in such a funkin’ groove listening to Black Sabbath throughout your 14, that I just. . . . .(yup). . . .KEPT ON GROOVIN THROUGHOUT “Never Say Die”. I could not FOR THE LIFE OF ME stop!
So, it was only this morning that I realized I hadn’t actually “rec’d” your list.
I just did, though.
Thank you again!

I try to save these 10's..
(for whatever reason)… and listened to all 14 of these last night, after being out of work sick yesterday. I must say, this is quite the list.

In honor of Roll Bama Roll's R10 history. . . .
. . . my wife and I showered numerous iPod Shuffles to nieces and nephews on both sides of our marital aisle- for Christmas presents/stocking stuffers.
I’ve heard back from a few of them and almost (almost) told ‘em all about RBR’s R10, as well as you all- and me (they don’t know Bix, but. . . . . .they do. they most certainly do, they only know me as their crazy uncle. same difference).
Those little iPod Shuffles are a hoot! (and they’re a helluva-lotta better bargain for their buck than a Nook! i have an iPad2 and 1, and those Nook’s are one giant advertisement and commercial after another. sheeeeeeeessh!)
BTW: I’m still rocking Black Sabbath. You got it going, SRG. And for a while during my ride yesterday (motorcycle)- I had Dio turning me into a zig-zagging-zombie up Angeles Crest Highway. I ended up at a famous museum on Wilshire !!!!!! I’m not even joking. You’ve got to live in LA to understand how weird that is. I ended up nowhere near where I started, . .. . . . . . .in absolutely no traffic, right smack dab in the middle of crazy Los Angeles in the bright of day. Dio had me in a trance and all’s I was looking for was a newspaper and coffee. I had too much to drink last week, I’m still not sober. (bix. must. sweat. more. a lot more!!!!!)
