Egan's for RBR group ...

sounds like a great idea! I read RBR every day and have only met two people (at Egan’s) so far. I would really love to meet ya’ll face-to-face at some point in time. My husband, mother-in-law, and a co-worker will be traveling to T-town for this celebration. The co-worker is a Dawg fan (we took her to the GA game in T-town back in 2006) but she is really excited to see how we celebrate our football team winning THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (again).

The first 30,000 receive a poster. Ha!

That just seems funny to me. Many teams cant get much more than 30,000 fans for a home game.

We will exceed 93,000 for the spring game.

And NOLA was swarming with Tide fans, greatly outnumbering the corndogs.

Proud mini-Saban.

The Quarter...

…certainly seemed to sport more crimson than yellow, but I believe a large portion of the LSU cadre kept to Midtown and other areas to avoid us…kinda like they tried to avoid us on the field that night….

When were you there?

Bourbon was about 50-50 on Sunday, but on Monday we were by far the minority… until after the game.

God bless our Dark Lord.

I was there...

…for several days, and I guess you’re right about Monday, but I just assumed that was due to it being game day. Since I was there so long, it seemed like the exception to the rule. Of course, after the game, as you mentioned, things were a wee bit different….

We were definitely the minority in the French Qt.

on Monday. And they kept getting in your face yelling Tiger Bait.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

Not in my face, they didn't...

…but yeah, I witnessed plenty of that. I found that sticking between Royal and St. Charles limited my moron encounters quite a bit that day….

Sunday night there was one block where

LSU fans corndogs were up on the balconies pegging Alabama fans in the face with unopened packets of beads as they walked by. Assholes.

God bless our Dark Lord.

They did it on Monday too.

I still don’t get the beads thing but it makes as much sense as LSU.

I think you have to flash someone

if you want to get the beads, Fitty. Might not work so well for you though.

Not sure what you mean.

The beads are a Mardi Gras thing. And by keeping the packets closed, they could throw the beads hard and hit people in the face with them.

God bless our Dark Lord.

I hope none of you

dined in a nearby Krystal’s after the game.

A friend of mine (female) happened to be wearing a white shirt on Sunday

And standing next to another friend in a Bama shirt, and some dumb LSWho fan yelled “Tiger Bait!” and dumped his beer off the balcony onto her.

Tiger Bait

slogan is about as lame as a UF fan doing the gator chomp in your face then they find out that we bitch slapped them and they do a “oh, never mind” or most teams have yet to see how goofy the “black outs” or the “white outs” are when they play the Tide. Stick to what is the real thing like Bama does—play football you dumbasses and stop worrying about what helmets or pants you’re going to be wearing. Strap it up and let’s play. Be real!!

I've never understood the phrase, myself.

In my experience, while bait is indeed eaten by a predator, it is usually used to lure said predator into a trap and capture it. It’s kinda like a bunch of bass saying “Y’all are nothin’ but worms on a hook!” Ok, but the bass are still going to be dinner…it just don’t make no sense. Am I over-thinking this?
