wow, that was quick

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

I especially like

all the empty space left on either side. Needs filling.

Agreed.

Indeed

But it’s going to prove difficult to fill out the left side without a flux capacitor.

Who cares about the statue...

Agreed.

It needs more gravitas like Stallings and Bear’s.

Or at least with him throwing a headset in anger.

by Durdens Wrath on Jan 20, 2012 8:01 AM CST up reply actions

It's not...

…amazing, but I do like that it shows him in the act of teaching/coaching/encouraging players. That’s really what he should be best remembered for when it’s all said and done. That and the winning, natch.

it shows him in the act of teaching

Yep, it demonstrates the appropriate method for clapping one’s hands. Someone really should show the statue to Les.

I call it the "nanner puddin" clap

Cuz back in my school days, we had a really cool down syndrome kid in our class who would clap just like that on the days we had banana pudding with lunch.

I had a dream back after the 09 championship game

that the Saban statue was him throwing the headset. It was a glorious sight.

I think that is my Great Uncle in that picture...

with the red sweater and khakis. Hard to tell, but sure does look like Tommy Ray. That man hasn’t missed an Alabama game in over 15 years as far as I know.

The University can get this done in less than a week...

…and the management of this blog can’t get the fourteenth star into the logo? Just asking….

I'm not really a CPA, I just play one on television.

Y'all going to pony...

…up to pay the graphic designer? Well played though, totally slipped my mind.

by Nico2.0 on Jan 24, 2012 1:11 PM CST up reply actions

How much?

Put out some new shirts and use the $ toward it. I’m sure donations would be made as well.

I thought the designer gave RBR that logo as a freebie. Is that not correct?
