Two incredibly potent offfenses will clash in this year's Rose Bowl. Oregon is 3rd nationally in scoring and Wisconsin is 5th. The two take incredibly different approaches though. Wisconsin is the prototype corn-fed bunch of Midwestern bruisers and Oregon utilizes undersized speedsters so it'll be interesting to see these two contrasting styles clash. I'd say Oregon's two losses are more respectable (LSU and USC) as opposed to Wisconsin's losses to Michigan State and Ohio State. We know the offenses are thoroughly talented so this is likely to come down to which defense can better slow the other down.

I live in GA I can promise you Richt will
coach at UGA in 2012, 2013, and likely in 2014. There are a few vocal people who do not like him but most of the DAWGS have grown happy with averaging 9 or even 8 wins a season. They got 10 this year so they are very happy.
You have to remember these folks stuck with 2 average coaches in Butts and Dooley forever. Dooley did win a few SEC titles and had the luck to have Walker born in his state but really he was just slightly above average and consider that Bryant was right next door win everything, but UGA was willing to stick with Dooley just as AU stuck with Jordan.
I just hope we never get happy with just a 10 season. That is not the goal.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

I do think Mich St. played some decent D today. 9 of UGA’s points were not against their D, and another 3 came via a pick. They gave 1 bomb to UGA and then 1 decent drive for a TD. Shut em down in OT.

Originally titled the “Tournament East-West football game,” the first Rose Bowl was played on January 1, 1902, starting the tradition of New Year’s Day bowl games. The inaugural game featured Fielding H. Yost’s dominating 1901 Michigan team, representing the East, which crushed a previously 3-1-2 team from Stanford University, representing the West, by a score of 49–0 after Stanford quit in the third quarter. When they first started inviting Bama
they figured and easy win for the West. We beat em so often and then after we killed USC in 46 they said in essence “no more SEC teams.” The Pac 8, 10, 12 is basically a cry baby bunch that if you beat them they will call off the game.
