I think you're being a bit pessimistic.
We were 26th in RPI coming into this game and we won’t fall much after this game. We need to beat MS State when they visit and not lose against any bad teams, but if we come out of the conference 11-5, or 10-6 (still completely possible since we’ve already played 3 of our 5 toughest games) I think we’ll be okay.
By losing a close one on the road against the possible #1 overall seed?
That’s pretty damn pessimistic. I think we’re still well on our way to a bid.

Losing a close one at UK is a moral victory
Three straight SEC losses is not good – I don’t care who the opponents are.
But rugman11 is right. The Tide CANNOT lose to MSU again, need to beat SC & Tenn and sweep Barn, Ole Ms. If they can do that, a split with Arky might be okay.

We played well
Most important thing is winning. We didn’t do that. Could have. Releford’s FT miss on the 1-1 and Lacey’s miss on the layup with under 2 left were the plays that stick out. But huge credit to those two guys. Played their hearts out. Also credit to UK for hitting their last, what? 8 FTs? Again, we lost, and that’s what counts. But we played like the team we know we are today. Kentucky really didn’t play bad at all and if we make the two plays I mentioned above, we probably win today. Hopefully we can build off of this. Need to go 4-1 in our next 5. Roll Tide.

but I really think we are about to have a little 5 game run.
We need to get Mitchell back. And, why was Hankerson our go to guy in the lane very late when Green had been unstoppable and Jacobs had also been good?
I agree the FT hurt. I think the thing about playing at Rupp is you have to make everything that is make-able to win. We shot great in the 2nd half but still we missed a few. They haven’t won 46 in row there for nothing.
Team needs to keep their head up and this is where Grant comes in. We still have very good tournament chance if we play as well as played today the rest of the way.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
