Blair Walsh kicks a 42-yard field goal and we’re sitting here feeling great about ourselves," McGarity said.
Georgia AD Greg Mcgarity talking about the Outback Bowl
Anybody else find it strange that the AD would be calling out a player by name for missing a kick? Not sure I've really seen that in college ball before.

Just thought it was strange.
You’ll hear coaches say “we missed some FGs” or “we threw a couple of INTs,” or something of that ilk, but I don’t recall one ever calling out a player specifically.

Oh, ohhhh
I was missing the context. Forgot who we were talking about, and the fact that he missed the kick.
Yeah, that’s kinda crappy of the AD.
God bless our Dark Lord.
Edited to include that info.
I guess the quote could have been taken as praise without context.

It would have made more sense to say:
“If Coach Richt hadn’t gone all pussy on us in the first overtime we’d be sitting here feeling great about ourselves.”
This is meant to deflect
criticism from Richt. He is the annoited one who must be protected.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
