I've been watching football for over 50 years.

This was the greatest defensive effort I have ever seen anywhere. This game will be the bench mark by which people measure defense. Lets not forget that LSU, except when they played Bama, was a very explosive offense.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

And tuscaloosa is its capital, How awesome is that.

In last night's thread while watching the replay of Nov. 5th that I thought it was the right decision to try for the fieldgoals.

We just executed this time.

Also, AJ did a good job except for a couple of plays where he actually did a good job of not messing it up like all the other QBs did this year against LSU.

I said afterwards that I like our chances and that was the first time I felt that way.

The difference tonight was execution

I feel like we had similar opportunities on 11/5 but we actually executed tonight; strung together first downs that sustained drives that led to points. Our D played better and that was all we needed. RTR and 14 was the result!

Yes, when Coach Bryant was on the sidelines

I always felt he would find a way to win. He only won 6 NC, but was cheated out of a 7th (1966) and could have had a couple more with any luck at all. It was an amazing run, and the length, 25 years was just incredible. We are on a good run now, but it will not last 25 years.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

Taylor Swift lived here since high school then moved to Green Hills in Nashville – her family is still here. The Oak Ridge boys are here. Chris Henderson, the guitar player from 3 Doors Down is here and has a recording studio. But this town of 50,000 tries not to be star struck so we leave them alone.

Oregon finished fourth and Arkansas was fifth, giving the SEC three of the top five teams in the country.

ROLL. FUCKING. TIDE.

Not sure why so many people are saying that it was an ugly game- maybe because the score didn’t resemble a playstation game- but this was a thing of beauty. Our defensive gameplan was nothing short of perfect. The offensive playcalling was fantastic, despite the lack of touchdowns. It’s more a reflection on LSU’s ability to stiffen up when the field shortens than anything else.

Bottom line- masterful game against a great and worthy opponent.

Light ’em up, boys and girls. This is redemption. This is domination. This is Alabama football.

Okay I'm checking out with Coach Bryant quotes:
“I honestly believe that if you are willing to out-condition the opponent, have confidence in your ability, be more aggressive than your opponent and have a genuine desire for team victory, you will become the national champions. If you have all the above, you will acquire confidence and poise, and you will have those intangibles that win the close ones.”
“If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit – you’ll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.”
“There’s a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success.”
“Little things make the difference. Everyone is well prepared in the big things, but only the winners perfect the little things.”

Late to this celebration thread as I just got in from NO.

One thing I kept thinking about on the way home was how lucky LSU was not to have lost by 45. Seriously, a catch here or there (Smelly, Gibson) and a few other times we sort of stalled, and Maze coming up lame, and CJ not running it in. It could have easily been 45-0 and then they would not be #2. So they should be thankful. 21 was the minimum we could have scored on them with the way we played.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
