Okay, guys. I've got an idea.

Inspired by everyone listening to each other’s 10s and commenting that they haven’t heard of stuff. So I started a collaborative playlist on Spotify. There were quite a few tracks already that I couldn’t find, but I tried to get all the 10s above mine. Here’s the link:

http://open.spotify.com/user/caseyalyssa/playlist/1wW4lwmvf1S5iEpxb4H8OP

Hooray for shared music!

So you wanted to take a break,
slow it down some, and have some space.
Well f*** you too!

Massive Sonic Youth album, "Daydream Nation"

It was released in the same month of my birthday, and . . . like the Suicidal-song from the general era, “All I wanted was the SY-album, BUT MY MAMA didn’t get it for me”. It took me until the following February to finally obtain that fucking album! (back in those days, Napster was still almost 10 years away. remember them?)

I saw 2 shows of that CD/album’s release and those guys just kicked serious ass!

I love Eric’s Trip, Providence, and of course- Teenage Riot. The whole fucking album is pure epicness!

Great eff-in’ song!
Insane list.

This 10 has win all over it!

"This is a weird one Random 10 on a Saturday not Friday"

“Bluer Than Midnight” – The The
“Valentine’s Day Is Over” – Billy Bragg
“Screaming For Vengeance” – Judas Priest
“Blackout” – Scorpions
“A Better Place”- Glen Campbell
“Another Thing Coming” – Judas Priest
“Forever On My Mind” – Son House
“I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself A Letter” – Paul McCartney
“Aqui No Sera” – Ozomatli
“Tender Comrade” – Billy Bragg

Admittedly, I went surfing this morning and between the Paul McCartney song and the Ozomatli songs. . . . . there was like 5 symphony songs in a row. I didn’t include them. Sorry. When I came in to switch boards, . . . . . .I got baked.

Next thing you know, I’m waking up in the bright beating heat of the sun to Ozomatli. And the only reason for that is because I turned my head and inadvertently fell off my board all the way to the sand. Yes, I was only inches off the ground. . . . . .BUT IT FELT LIKE I WAS FALLING DOWN THROUGH FLOORS AND FLOORS OF SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!

I was in traffic when my 10 list first came on. . . .

. . . I had to go from Santa Monica to Zuma Beach- not too far, less than 15 miles north of me. So I’m cruising along and (at least to me) there was 40 too-many-people driving in traffic with me. Why? It’s not “touristy” season, yet is it?

By the time the second Judas song came on, I. WAS. FLYING. THROUGH TRAFFIC!

Which got me thinking about LSU.

The first song could’ve been our song before the BCSNCG. The second one, for the second half of that very same game.
