All Hands on Deck
Good afternoon RBR,
I'm a long time reader of this blog and a huge Alabama fan, but this is my first post so be gentle. Warning, this has little to do with football, basketball, etc except for the fact that my fiance and I are both alumni of our fine institution and love everything Alabama. To tell the truth, football at the university brought us together. Many of our first dates were home games, and we spent countless nights talking in my car underneath Bryant-Denny behind her sorority house. Please continue to read and help out a fellow Bama alum and fan!
On November 4th I proposed to the love of my life and thankfully she said yes. The next day I went to Tuscaloosa and we all know what happened... but most of the horrible taste from that day was washed from my mouth on January 9th. Roll Tide! Anyways, we have begun the arduous but exciting journey of planning our wedding and entered into an engagement photo contest through Facebook. If we get the most likes, we win. It's as simple as that. To this point, it has been a very tough race, and quite frankly we need your help to pull out this win. If you could find it in your heart, would you please follow the link and "like" our picture? My fiance and I are both graduate students at UAB now (meaning we are broke) and any money we can save by winning this contest with your help will be most beneficial.
Thank you for reading and helping (if you choose to do so) and as always ROLL TIDE! GO BAMA!
Addendum: I forgot to mention earlier that the contest ends at 5pm on Friday. Please "like" or "share" with friends. Thank you again for all the support.

FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

you realize
we are now expecting your firstborn son to be named “nick.”

That was already a great possibility.
When I say my fiance is a huge Alabama fan, I mean she is scary and will get a guy into trouble when she starts talking smack about to other fans. Don’t even get her started on Auburn unless you want to hear pure rage for about an hour.
Well at least

Wow...I actually know y'all
J and MK and I remember when you got engaged in B’ham on that Friday …but unfortunately I’m not allowed to be on Facebook…it is a long story…but hope you get it.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
THAT's the story you held back from us?
Needs to be a fanpost STAT.

5026, how do we know each other? From UA? And why aren’t you allowed on Facebook anymore?

I really can't tell you...I mean I know how I know you but I think it best not to reveal my identity
on this site. As far as Facebook I’m not banned from there like i am from ATVS…. BUT…I made a solemn promise to someone that is extremely important to me that I would never be on Facebook for reasons that will not be mentioned and I will keep said promise.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
Asshole.

What?

You're holding out on us.

Well, first of all I can't really tell Manly how I know him and his fiance
but I do know them. I’m sure if I told him my name he would at least know who I am. But, what good is an anonymous name like 5026 if you tell people what your real name is?
And, it is because of what I do that I feel I need to remain anonymous. Furthermore, what I do somewhat has dictated that I not be on Facebook. I guess I could make a fake Facebook with fake pictures but what would be the point.
I know it seems strange…but hey on here I’m known as a conspiracy nut so just take it at that…maybe I’m afraid a space ship from the planet Xerknoid would find me, or maybe I’m afraid those mob guys whom I fingered will find me in the witness protection program, or maybe it is that old girlfriend and her psycho dad. Either way I’m not going on Facebook
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
Mainly I help rescue people from themselves.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
That's scary!
‘Cause. . . . .I’m . . . . ???. . . .well, I’m after me. And you know what? I can use some help. But OH BOY! When I FIND ME, I have a feeling I might go to jail over what I’m gonna do when that happens.
So, it’s not so much as a rescue as it is bounty I’ve got for myself. Trust me, . . . .I deserve it!
And I’ve been to Zerknoid, with a “z” though. Or was that Nerdzoik? I always get them mixed up. Out in that quadrant where the Sumerians up and left to colonize, right? Tom Cruise is from out around there.

No, I just invested well in the 80's & 90's.
Stock splits are a good thing and you could turn a little into a lot back then. Today not so much. If I had to live right now on what I make I’d have to get a third job.

No, you TOLD your wife to.
Get this boy started off right.

Good guys are in the lead but as of this posting it's very close
They have 2,150 and the second place couple has 2,096. The next closest is like 164 or something……so it’s a 2-way race. VOTE!

Thank you!
[insert witty football response here] Sorry, I just woke up and coffee is only half way done. Go Bama!
Thank you so much RBRers!
It’s the last day of the contest and we could really use a last push. As Wallace so astutely stated, “the beach people are threatening!” Let’s do this people! Roll Tide!
2390 to 2287, in our ManlyHall's favor.
Almost there. Just another hour (or two, if the 5:00 pm CST).

Congratulations!
On your engagement and for winning the photo contest! Glad I could help you out (albeit in a tiny way). Oh, and welcome to RBR by the way. I read the site every day but rarely post; don’t be lazy like me, even if you are in med school. It’s always cool to see people you know online (not on Facebook, that is). Give my best to MKPAG.

Thank Jimbo!
Yeah I have been reading RBR for awhile and finally starting posting, albeit limited and with little insight. I agree, it’s cool to see people online not through Facebook.
Soooo...
Where and when is this reception you’ll be throwing for all us Tide fans that voted for you?
