Alabama (18-9, 7-6; RPI: 29, SOS: 15)

The Tide won at Arkansas and can now put themselves in a good spot if they can handle Mississippi State at home on Saturday. If they win enough games down the stretch, the committee won't have to worry about personnel availability when it comes to bracket inclusion.
GW: Wichita State (N), Purdue?, VCU?
BL: at South Carolina, at LSU?

i honestly feel like 21 wins is going to be the magic number.

21-11 means we win 2 of the remaining 3 games between MSU, Auburn, Ole Miss – and then win a game in the tournament. 21 wins makes us a lock.

certainly,

but if we win two of the next three, we are probably still a lock, even with a first round loss in the SEC.

we currently are a lock, staying the course keeps us at a 9/10 seed.

doing what i highlighted gives the committe zero option to exclude us. not beating MSU still gives us a pretty bad record against the top 50. beating MSU right now is huge – and then not losing to auburn.

Bama is now in the #4 spot meaning a bye in the SEC Tourney

If the season ended today, the Tide would play the winner of LSU and S. Carolina.

  • Thanks to Maryland for beating Miami and raising UA’s RPI a tick.

Tourney chances

I think if we win the next 2 games at home then we will be the # 4 seed in the SEC tournament which eliminates the possibility of a bad loss and likely removes all doubt from our tourney selection. 2 more wins and I think we won’t be sweatin’ in out for once.

Totally correct.

I also do not consider losing to LSU a bad loss.

I honestly think we will get in if we lose to MSU and beat AU as long as we win the 1st game in the SEC tourney.

Beat MSU I’d say we are very likely in…regardless of the last 2 games.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

Fifty you are probably right

I think the key for us now is to avoid bad losses. If we do that we are golden.
