That is one of my favorite Clash songs and we all love Kenny Rogers even if some of us don't admit it

As for the Queen, I haven’t seen her in a few months. I even sent out the Queen signal..a picture of LL Cool J and still nothing. I miss the queen too.

My goodness gracious, mercy meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That’s a super-fantabulous R11 Judge.

You were blastin’ it from 1 – 3, definitely killed that m-fer with 4 alone, went straight on out da roof from 5 & 6, sent me to heaven on 7, crashed me good on 8. . . . . .

Lawdy, I was knocked-the-fuck out on 9. And you know what? I was in my car as I realized I have no Spinal Tap music on my iPhone, but I sure as hell had some Misfits.

Big problem? Where the hell is the 138 song? I’ve got all kinds of Misfits and I know the words to the song. . . .“. . .In the eyes of Tiger, . . . . .8, 8, 8, 8, 8, We are 138”. WTF?

Dude, you’ve got some serious collection- I thought I had it all on Danzig/Misfits. I learn something everyfuckingday!!!!!! Where is this song?

This R11 is so good, I ain’t got 2 of ‘em! That’s how good it is!!!!

by BixBeiderbecke on Feb 3, 2012 12:38 PM CST up reply actions

Spinal Tap and 138

Thanks Bix as for the misfits We are 138 is on the wolfs blood ep or Misfits collection two but the live track come from the misfits coffin collection which has every recording of the misfits and samhain plus comes with a video tape of the misfits playing in a garage somewhere….awesome buy.

As for Spinal Tap..it was a requirement for any member of my band to have watched spinal tap before they could join. (Funky) Sex farm is from there album back from the dead…the album itself is a redo of the first spinal tap album with some genre changes to some songs and a few extra tracks but what makes the album awesomeis the DVD (make sure you buy this version) because the DVD is so effing funny.

My sisters went to see the Femmes at some hippie joint in Berkeley. . .

. . . .back in the day. My friends and I snuck a ride to Palo Alto to pick up the eldest, in those days- there was this skate shop called Sessions and an epic skate park in Mtn. View. (scammin’ on hot chicks was also the “in thing” at the time at the malls. there were two of ’em).

I’ll skip over the craziness that my friends and I got into at a random punk show at The Varsity in PA, and get to that ensuing Monday. I get home from school, and the sister that drove (she was high school senior, taking Photography for the umpteenth time) was in her dark room developing photos from that show. When I first saw the image coming off the paper- it looked Gano was getting freaky with ginormous d_ldo? Turns out, it was one of the band members was playing the world’s largest sitar. Yes, sitar. (I didn’t know what one was too, at the time. My sister said it was a massive show with multiple encores).

All’s I know is, my sisters got me into New Wave as a young punk/metal head. And with bands like The Smiths, Echo, ABC, U2, Bauhaus, New Order, Violent Femmes, Squeeze, Talking Heads, etc. . . . .I. LOVE. THEM. DEARLY!!!!!

I love 'em, too...

…it’s just that most of them didn’t make too many trips to my neck of the woods to play. Back in the day, it was either Van Halen, Prince, or numerous country acts. Nothing against any of those (I’ve loved any Prince show I’ve attended), but a boy needs a well-rounded musical diet, ya know?

I can't continue taking these breaks from my project today, but. . .

. . . .it’s Nice Li’l so. . . .????

As far as David Lee, straight- no chaser!

Can you imagine the kind of booty those m-fers got back in their day???? You wanna talk about serious hedonism? Those guys, and many more rockers like ‘em, be it rappers, hip-hoppers, soul, country (especially country), punk, and metal rockers. . . . .let’s just say it would be great to be that kind of king- IF JUST FOR A MONTH!

I’m never gonna let go of my 3 pairs of cowboy boots for a reason!

Now, getting back to my project. (speaking of which, i f_cked up the outer-corners of the damn wall/ceiling crown-moulding. i’ve got ultimate tools, it’s simply end-user problems today. i’ve been “off”, let’s just say. literally, AND figuratively. . . . .it’s the back-sawing that’s killing me today. i’ve got a left thumb that would love to see the walls of an emergency room right now, it’s just that my legs are too happy moonwalking the crap outta my house. BODY COUNT is on!)

"How Come No One's Sayin' SHIT About the NFL's Version of 'Rematch' Championship Game Random 10"

Here’s the scary part: I actually watched the Giants beat the Patriots earlier this year. . . .and I usually ONLY watch/attend Oakland Raiders’ games when it comes to the NFL. (good game, btw)

I must say. . . .this week’s R-10’s are simply smokin’ here on RBR. I haven’t had the time to listen to my own jams ALL THE DAMN DAY because Al’s, DMag’s, Joker’s, and the usual sublimeness of UB’s and 94Grad’s. I’ll say this though: GTO has got some serious badassery in the music dept. I fell in love late with RBR’s King of Hip Hop’s jams. (i never heard of WWPJ and Action Bronson. . . . .good stuff Champ!)

Nice Li’l and Accio simply slayed ‘em today. I got nuts on Judge’s, but after I’d calmed down and found my underpants. . . . .you kiddin’ me? Rob Z AND Alice Cooper- you DID READ HE PUT UP SOME PANTERA, too!!!!!!!!

This is the first R10 I can’t put one up, even though:

A. I remembered it’s RBR R10 Friday
B. I’ve got the access and ability to listen/post a R10 list
C. I’ve got full ambition to LIST!!!!

I’ll have to get back to y’all on some music from me, but first- . . . .I’m just gonna savor all of y’all’s.

Way
To
Go
RBR-ers!!!!

Way to freaking go! Roll Tide M-F’ing Roll!!!!!

“Caffeinated Consciousness” – TV on the Radio
“Florida” – Princeton
“Keep On Looking” – Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings
“Bang A Gong” (Get It On)" – T Rex
“Mind Eraser” – The Black Keys
“Brown Sugar” – D’Angelo/Heartbreak Sound(system)
“Emotional Rescue” – The Stones
“Never My Love” – Etta James
“How Come You Never Go There” – Feist (Beck re-mix)
“Easy” – Commodores

Shit, I didn’t come up with any country, bluegrass, hardcore (rock, punk, shit. . .anything).

This is about as tame as it has gotten for me lately. Dang Judge. . . .you really got me hoping for some Bad Brains, White Zombie, . . . . hell! Even Triumph, or Judas Priest even.

Ah hell, I guess I should leave work now. THis was anti-climactic!

There's nothing tame...

…about TV on the Radio or Etta James. Plus, ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Easy’ are about as foolproof a pair of panty-removing tunes as you can find. And ‘Emotional Rescue’ is one of my two favorite Rolling Stones songs not found on Exile on Main Street. Well done is all ima say, Bix…Well done….

I took the waaaaayyyyy long route home, last night

My wife had to come and get me. ?

Just picked up car, it’s 8:20 in the A-freaking-M! So, my music almost got better. Less than two blocks away from this place called The Daily Pint (where I cleaned up in pool, but had one too many Chimay’s and prolly shouldn’t have sipped on all them single-malts. . . .those were free though, my buddy owns the place. back in the day, he and I went to Thailand. Yes, Thailand. . . . .it was nuts)- I’m just getting on the freeway, and lo and behold. . . .Sonic Youth comes on.

Get this: it was their cover of “Superstar” by the Carpenters. !?!?!!!!????

So I’m in my driveway and then Metallica comes on (my music contraptions are still on shuffle and. . . . .they hate me): it’s “Whisky In A Jar”. (for some reason, I never liked that version).

That’s it! I’m playing Prince, old Who, Parliament, Social Distortion, and Fishbone- in that order this morning/afternoon. I have to finally finish that “nook re-model” in my front room that I’ve been working on for like, a month and some change. Shit, man!

I’m thinking of going back to the Daily Pint after! I was winning big last night. . . . . .!!!!!!

Thank you Al!

You and Spock started us all off JUST RIGHT with your lists.

And how long as that been your signature, “Auburn people are stinky”??? I just noticed it, and to be sure: you’ve got one smart-one for a toddler!!

Little people! Those guys totally know what’s up. It’s like, they don’t know how to lie, just yet. And so for them to say some of the profound things that they say, the world’s just simply gotta listen. But what I don’t understand is, how come toddlers have pockets on their pants? What are they for, when it comes to them? They can’t yet put a phone or wallet in ‘em. They sure as hell can’t even fathom the thought to cram toys down them pockets!!! What in the heck are they there for????

Auburn people not only stink, those crazy cats procreate! And that, I think, is the worst!!!!!
