A lot of the college basketball world has been going with grey atl jerseys...... cause its a fad, lets face it. Nike is calling it "platinum" but they're just jumping on the bandwagon.

No doubt many of you remember when black 3rd unis were all the rage. Well, of all the schools to do it, only a couple make sense (gray, that is). One of them I heard, was Alabama. Well we've already done it.... once. Back in 2010 during the home finale of a lackluster season, Bama donned grey unis with "BAMA" on the front and beat the Auburn Tigers by double digits.

Was it a gimmick.....well, I guess you could classify it as one. But it sparked the crowd and the players seemed to like it. The Tide is undefeated in grey and back then CAG hinted of seeing them again. So far that has yet to happen.

They could be updated, maybe keep the BAMA on the front, repace all the names on the back with simply "crimson tide" and have watermark houndstooth on the numbers ala the pro combat football jerseys?

So should Bama go gray again some time in the future? Maybe circle a special home game every year such as home battles with Florida or Kentucky... reserve it for Auburn? Maybe it should only be used like in 2010, when the year is going less than stellar and a big pride win is needed. Or should they be stored away, forever a one time thing.
