Official Invite List | NFL Combine
The official invite list for this year's NFL Combine is out, and our own beloved Tide leads all schools with nine invitees, six of whom played defense. Saying we're losing a lot from this year's D is an understatement. Georgia and LSU are close behind with eight invitees each.

So I guess Vlachos, Gentry and Smelley are to small?
By the way, McCullough and Harris are better than people think.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
I agree on McCullough and Harris
Vlachos was the only possible one from the 3 you 1st mentioned, but he might be a little small (when you look at centers like Mangold, etc…jeez, those guys are big)

I thought he might have played himself in on Senior Bowl week.

Yes, kinda surprised Smelley was not invited
Especially with how important the TE position has become in the NFL.
Fourteen and counting
I still think he gets drafted
or at least signs as a FA.
I hope he gets drafted too but...
there are only 254 picks and 328 were invited to the combines.
He’ll certainly get picked up by some lucky team.
Fourteen and counting
Yeah, him not going to the combine means he probably doesn't get drafted.
They try to invite every person that will be drafted to the combine.

I gotta feelin'...
Vlachos, Smelley, Gentry, McCullough, Harris, etc will all get some close looks after Coach Saban uses his influence in the NFL to help all the guys that genuinely bought in to his process.
The rest will be up to the players themselves.
Bama don’t buy players coming into college, but they damn sure try to help those who deserve it get rewarded when they leave.
James Carpenter played his ass off at LT for Bama and was a surprise take in the 1st round last year.
I honestly believe Coach Saban had a lot to do with that and the difference between being selected in the 1st round and being taken in later rounds was worth millions to Carpenter’s bank account.

Total agree Saban is the pipeline
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
I'm dumber than you...
cause I still haven’t figured it out. If I were to guess based on the caliber players in which the * is listed by, I would have to say it means they are badasses.
I think it means they are a Junior (entering early)

I'm actually very interested
In how he’ll do on the bench press, because it’s not a max weight thing. It’s max reps at 225. I’m positive his agent and trainer have both impressed upon him the need to prepare in that way, though considering he always had to do more reps than everyone else to stay in shape, I’d say it’ll be quite a large number.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Chapman does on the bench press.
He’s supposed to be a beast.

For those who don't want to sift thru the list:
HIGHTOWER, DONT’A
KIRKPATRICK, DRE
RICHARDSON, TRENT
BARRON, MARK
CHAPMAN, JOSH
HANKS, DARIUS
MAZE, MARQUIS
MENZIE, DE’QUAN
UPSHAW, COURTNEY
Fourteen and counting
I've enjoyed watching these guys for so long
I hope that they all make a shit-ton of money and make it to Canton.
We will really miss
Qualin Hightower. Wow I would have went by Dont’a too. Just picking at the name, we will miss him and good luck.
