In a press release, LSU announced that "offensive guard Josh Dworaczyk has been granted an extension to his five-year clock and will get a sixth year." The school and the player were informed of the decision earlier in the day Wednesday.
"I’m excited to be able to get another year so that I can finish my career on the field," Dworaczyk said in a statement. "I felt like I had some unfinished business so being able to get this additional year is a blessing.

That's Cool
Let’s just round it up to a decade. Why not? Get on with your life man! You have to be at least 25 by now. Grow up and get out of school. It took you five years to get a degree in General Studies? The only other time I’ve heard of that degree is in the movie Van Wilder. Coincidence?
Eh
He’s 23, started every game in 2009 and 2010, and might have had legitimate pro prospects had he not blown out his knee last August. He’s twice been on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, so he might as well stick around and finish up that graduate degree. If somebody else is paying for it, why not?

I hope so.
He’s a pro ballplayer, afterall. If that won’t help him in that department nothing will.

Brandon Weeden is projected to be a mid-second round draft pick
which would earn him a 4-year contract worth just shy of $4 million. Can you think of another job he could have gotten five years ago (as a minor league washout with a high school diploma) that would have made him $4 million in 9 years?
Not unless
he took the $600k he made in baseball and started a successful business. Work to acquire capital then make the capital work for you. American way and all that.

That was in the old America.
Haven’t you heard…fat cats are bad.
If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.
You can always get Weeden in El Ay any time of the year.

I was alluding to...
the fact that Okie St didn’t get to play in Lousiana (LA) at the end of this season.
A fair percentage of athletes
are graduate students, like Barrett. What if he blew out a knee but got another chance.

You know who would be pissed if Bama had players staying for 6 years?
