Take a look at the articles on the Omaha.com webpage involving how Creighton will undoubtedly be the next VCU and will undoubtedly beat Alabama and will soon be in the Final Four:
Bluejays confident they won't be bullied by bigger Tide team... Three reasons the Jays will make a deep run... Sizing up the rest of CU's bracket
And the articles:
Doug McDermott is the Bluejay everyone schemes to stop, but pay too much attention to the sophomore All-American and Creighton's supporting cast will beat you. Center Gregory Echenique has started to flash some offensive skills to go along with his standout defense.
Time after time, all touting their All-American staff and their "underdog" capability and that they will absolutely beat Alabama. I can only speak for myself, but I am getting really sick of their crap. They have faced one – ONE – team ranked higher than them (Wichita State) and scraped by them the first time, followed by a 30-point blowout. They tout the big teams they have faced... The talented teams they have faced... Their difficult schedule. "...Creighton [has pulled] off wins this season against more athletically blessed teams such as San Diego State, Wichita State and Long Beach State." Well, listen up, Creighton... There are a heck of a lot more athletically blessed teams than a 5-seed that you beat once and got blew out by once, and a 12-seed and a 14-seed that you barely scrape out wins against.
This Alabama team is a team that can hang with the Kentuckys, the Floridas, and the Georgetowns of the world. Are y'all telling us that we don't have a snowball's chance in you-know-where of beating a team that loses to Evansville and Missouri State, who are sub-100 RPI teams? When we face off, you will know: You have played the Alabama Crimson Tide. You have played a team that will pressure you and put the fear of God into you. And you will get fouled, and you will get scored on, and you most probably will stagnate at some point this season. We may not be Kentucky, but we sure as heck ain't Missouri State. Don't crown yourselves champions.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming.
