ESPN: "Four team playoff plan would link national semis sites to conferences' BCS bowls"
Perfect compromise. If Midwest teams really want to play in a cold-weather city in December, they can start sending their conference champion to a bowl game north of the Mason-Dixon. Fun fact: for all of the Big Ten's complaints of warm weather putting them at a competitive disadvantage in the postseason, seven of the Big Ten's conference eight bowl game tie-ins are in Florida, Texas, Arizona, or California; only Detroit's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl (featuring Big Ten #8 vs MAC #2) is played north of Pasadena.
