It is that mid-summer moment when the arrival of the college football preseason magazines give us something to scry over as we try and forget there are still weeks upon weeks before our glorious game has returned to us. As usual, Alabama is among the top teams of most magazine's pre-season polls and, as usual, there's some new hotness they've chosen to put above the Crimson Tide. Except for USA Today, who seem to have a reasonable amount of common sense even though they can't figure out exactly why. So here's the tally with the SEC teams in bold.
