Alabama gets more bang for its buck than Auburn

The Birmingham Business Journal took a look at college football spending compared to on-field performance between 2008 and 2010. Alabama spent an average of $2.47 million per victory, while Auburn spent about $3.5 million. The Crimson Tide spent $89.1 million on college football during the three-season period. Along the way, the Tide notched 36 victories and a national championship.
