Six Future Tide Stars in the Under Armour All-America Game January 4

Set your DVR or cut out of work early because you will not want to miss the 2013 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game scheduled for Friday, January 4 at 4pm CT at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL. The game can be seen on ESPN and espn3.com

The talents of six Alabama commitments will be on display (They will all be on the Black Team aka HIGHLIGHT):

Cooper Bateman QB Salt Lake City, UT/Cottonwood High School 6'3'' 196 - many of you have heard a great deal about Bateman. As a Pro-Style Quarterback, he was a standout at this summer's Elite 11 QB Challenge. He has good size, a strong arm, and is a smart player. (Wearing #18)

Robert Foster WR Monaca, PA/Central Valley High School 6'2'' 190 - Prepare yourself for this phrase: "Bateman to Foster!" If you thought this year's WR corps was deep, wait until you see Foster. He is tall like Julio and runs (4.49) like... well... Julio! Imagine him paired with Amari Cooper and it's no wonder AJ McCarron wants to come back for one more season. (#4)

O.J. Howard TE Prattville, AL/Autauga Academy 6'6'' 225 - the #1 tight end in the nation hopes to step right into the starting lineup with Michael Williams off to the NFL. He is a January enrollee. (#5)

Grant Hill OG Huntsville, AL/Huntsville High School 6'5'' 320 - Grant has excellent size and will add depth to the OL. He should be a starter in the near future. Just so you know he is not just about size, he is also standout in both the shot put and discus and has even kicked field goals. (#64)

DeMarcus Walker DE Jacksonville, FL/Sandalwood High School 6'4'' 280 - a top defensive end who is all muscle and has reportedly run a 4.60 in the 40! They should call this kid "The Bomb" because he absolutely blows up every play. Unfortunately, he may be wavering on his commitment with the departure of Jeremy Pruitt. Florida is the other major suitor. (#44)

Maurice Smith CB Sugar Land, TX/Dulles High School 5'11'' 174 - with Dee Milliner likely off to the NFL (and Travell Dixon's odd and sudden departure), there is a glaring need for true cover corners on the 2013 team. Smith looks to be a very capable cover man who should see action early on next fall, be it on special team or in dime packages. (#14)

Others to watch:

Robert Nkemdiche DE Loganville, GA/Grayson High School 6'5'' 265 - Alabama is still in the running but Ole Miss might be the favorite. Clemson is not looking like his landing spot and they may get stuck with his posse. (#1 Black Team)

Montravius Adams DT Vienna, GA/Dooly County High School 6'3'' 281 - Elite DT will visit Alabama, Jan. 18 but it's a wide open race for his signature. (#51 White team aka NITRO)

Matthew Thomas OLB Miami, FL/Booker T. Washington High School 6'3'' 205 - Outstanding LB to visit Alabama on Jan. 11. (#6 Black)

Antonio (Tony) Conner S Batesville, MS/South Panola High School 6'2'' 200 - Alabama really likes this kid but in-state Ole Miss is in the lead. (#12 White)

Reuben Foster ILB Auburn, AL/Auburn High School 6'2'' 242 - It's a mystery where he will end up, even to him. (#2 White)

Alvin Kamara RB Norcross, GA/Norcross High School 5'10'' 192 - Even with Derrick Henry's commitment, Alabama is still neck-and-neck with UGA for his signature. (#6 Black)

Vonn Bell S Rossville, GA/Ridgeland High School 6'0'' 190 - A tight race between Bama, Ohio State and Tennessee. (#7 Black)

Hunter Henry TE Little Rock, AR/Pulaski Academy 6'5'' 240 - Committed to Arkansas over Alabama this past summer. Some think he is wavering with all the turmoil in Hogville, but look for this kid to stay close to home. (#82 White)

Josh McNeil TE Durham, NC/Milford Academy 6'5'' 226 - decommitted from Bama for LSU which was news to them. Likely academic casualty. (#12 Black)

Barn commits are all on the White Team: Carl Lawson DE #52 (may be wavering on his commitment), Dee Liner DT #25 (also may be wavering), Earnest Robinson WR #15.
