This season a growing number of folks complained about the low turnout by students to UA home football games. The University recognized this too as a problem and modified student ticket allotment rules.
Go to http://actcard.ua.edu/pages/GITG%20Poster%20HR%202012.pdf to see the changes in student football ticket penalities.
Summary of changes:
1. Only one ticket upgrade allowable per game. A ticket upgrade counts as one penalty point.
2. Ticket non-use (ticket not used, not donated, not transferred, not upgraded). A non-used ticket is 1.5 penalty points.
3. Donating your ticket after 5:00 p.m. the day before a home game (usually Friday). Late donation is .5 penalty point.
Over three penalty points means no eligibility to purchase post season tickets this year, no eligibility to purchase student football tickets next year, and no post season ticket eligibility next year.
Students will receive an email to their Crimson email address within three working days after a home game if they are assessed a penalty.
