Lee and Anderson, both freshman linebackers, have been dismissed as the team prepares for the national championship game.
Two Alabama Crimson Tide freshman linebackers have been sent home from the BCS National Championship game, the Crimson White reports. Dillon Lee and Ryan Anderson were dismissed on Friday for violating the team's curfew.
Of the two, Lee is the only one who has been on the field for Alabama this year. The highlight of his eight games was the interception in Alabama's season-opening win over Michigan. Lee was ranked as a four-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals and received credit for his skills in coverage and in making tackles.
Anderson has yet to play a snap for the Tide, but came in as a highly-ranked prospect. He was consistently ranked as a top 10 outside linebacker prior to signing with Alabama, and his history shows some skills in the pass rush.
The second-ranked Crimson Tide face the No. 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish for the BCS National Championship on Monday.
