In case you have not heard, 4-star quarterback David Cornwell has torn his ACL and is out for the remainder of his senior season in Norman, Oklahoma. He is the sole QB commitment to the Class of 2014.
The injury occurred during a game two weeks ago when one of his punts (REALLY, coach?) was blocked and he attempted to recover the ball. He confirmed Wednesday that he had surgery on his right knee and will not play again this season.
The general thought was that he was going to be one of the lucky few who could be an early enrollee in January 2014. I am not sure if that is still an option that will be given to him.
Note to 2015's Ricky Town: if your high school coach wants you to punt or kick extra points or any other activity that does not involve quarterbacking, politely tell him to kiss your caboose.
Alright, let 'em fly but don't go crazy...
