The past two weeks have been interesting across the interwebz. LSU has been hating on Bama pretty strong since Les Miles discussed the strength of scheduling "discrepancies" at the SEC Media Days and that bandwagon's axles have started to feel the strain. It seems everyone and their brother has jumped aboard and if we were playing Oregon Trail we'd have lost half the load trying to fjord the Snake River and Little Timmy would have died of cholera because of the bad water.
My biggest issue with the SOS argument is that for what seemed like decades Bama fans were accused of being stuck in the past of the "Glory Days" with The Bear. Yet here sits LSU still thinking that Florida and Georgia should be considered the top of the SEC like this were the days of Spurrier and Dooley. When they lost to Old Mississippi was it because that same team that we shut out was in on the "Bama Conspiracy" to get us to the top and therefore had just laid down for us? Or was it the obvious answer of LSU's defense is as bad as we think they are? I mean, Mississippi hasn't even made it to an SECCG in the 20+ years of its existence yet, so why bother trying to get there this year, AMIRITE?
This narrative has grown quite old. Heck, it was old within minutes of it being uttered from The Hat's mad lips, it only grows more and more tired as it goes on. At this point I just shake my head and say a little prayer for the drones that continue the madness each time they speak it. The obvious envy across the SEC and the country is beginning to look like a bad remake of "Mean Girls"... "I'm sorry that people are so jealous of me... but I can't help it that I'm so popular." #SorryNotSorry
So, tomorrow will bring us under the lights at Bryant-Denny Stadium, it will be cold and windy and we will take on the Tigahs as we always do, with strength and determination. While I predict a solid victory, I also predict a bit of a struggle at times as this game has proven to be over the past few years. AlabamaJammer and I will be there till the bitter end and if any of you will be in Tuscaloosa early on Saturday let us know, we'll be on the look out for you.
Take care and look out for those Who fans, they can be dangerous, especially the ones that seem to have been taken by the mindless Miles-virus, I hear it can be flesh eating.
Again, each week I'm going to leave you with these three things:
