Know Your Tigers - A Ricky Muncie Exclusive

After a delightful conversation with the lovely people from And The Valley Shook, I took the liberty of asking some questions of my own.

The good-natured sports that they are, the ATVS crew responded. Alas, they did not attach names to specific responses, so we will just treat this as anonymous truth.

When merchants complain about the late Thanksgiving making the holiday shopping schedule unfair, are they given honorary LSU diplomas?

Corndog75_mediumI'm not sure if you are aware, but LSU offers a healthy, diverse menu of programs for men and women of all cultures and societies to educate and improve themselves. I realize that Alabama offers two degree plans: Rawl Tahd and Sabanmetrics, so you may get the impression that these are the only paths to education. But we actually teach things, like spelling. And math.
But to answer your question, yes, yes we do give them honorary diplomas. Which is great, because that gives them something not a single Alabama fan has. A diploma.

Nick Saban: Great coach?

Or the Greatest coach?

Corndog75_mediumIn 2030, when Saban retires from Texas, and the NCAA vacates all of his wins and titles from the Alabama years, I imagine people will reflect on him and wonder what could have been, had he just stayed at LSU. Of course, Les Miles will have gone on to take the Bama job in Saban's absence and then set about systematically destroying it all, to illustrate just how much he hates the color red. The headstone will read: Nick Saban: One-Time LSU National Champion.

Is J.C. Copeland really the odds-on favorite to become the first offensive player to be pitched from a game under the Targeting rule?

Corndog75_mediumSeriously, we actually joked about this over the summer, and am kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet. But I'm sure the league office has a first-time-for-everything planned for Saturday night!

LSU has a great opportunity to close the gap behind Alabama for the 2014 signing class. When you finish just behind Saban again, will Miles issue rings to the coaching staff that read "No. 2, Nationally?"

Corndog75_mediumWe're happy to continue to cede no. 1 recruiting classes to Alabama. Mostly because we enjoy the sensation of our "idiot" coach beating your "genius," with our "inferior" players. It throws the universe for a loop. Sorry, that was a big word. Idiot means stupid. Genius means smart. Inferior means lesser than. Universe... ahh not worth my time.

We know that LSU faithful are licking their chops at the prospect of watching Leonard Fournette play in Death Valley. Will there be any lingering disappointment that Saban will likely not give him many carries next season, and that you'll have to wait until 2016?

Corndog75_mediumAs LSU fans, we'll simply look forward to knowing he'll fall flat on his face in the NFL, just like every other Alabama running back since Shaun Alexander. Oh what's that you say? Eddie Lacy? I'll give you that one with the one caveat that you acknowledge he attended the Derrick Rose Academy for ACT Testing.

Thanks again to the folks at ATVS for being great sports. Please enjoy in the spirit in which this was intended.
