There were a couple of trades today in MLB that could help out former Bama players. First the Orioles traded over rated closer Jim Johnson to Oakland, which potentially opens up that slot for Tommy Hunter, who was very succesfull in an 8th inning role this year. The other trade saw the Colorado Rockies trading starting CF Dexter Fowler to Houston (poor guy) for a pitcher. This opens up a spot for Kent Matthes to hopefully make the opening day roster. Look for more trades in the coming days.
