Roll Tide!

My allegiance to the Tide started on a snowy night in Northampton, Massachusettes while I watched the Tide take on Southern Miss. Tyrone Prothro made "The Catch" I'm sure you all remember it. It was a thing of beauty that summed up Tyrone Prothro's career, so skilled so tough and so very committed to the Crimson Tide.

The main reason why I am writing this post is because the folk here at Rollbamaroll.com seem very grounded in their insane appetite for all things Crimson Tide football, like me. However unlike you I come from Australia. The home of the man who made that HUGE stop on 4th down against Georgia in the SEC championship game, Jesse Williams. I am making my way from Sydney, Australia all the way to the South for the greatest football vacation that I can put together. The trip is starting off with an appetizer of UF vs LSU at Death Valley, followed by a main course of delicious BAMA football. I will be at Arkansas @home, Tennesse @home, LSU @home and then I'm driving up the highway until I smell shit, because I've been told by many a man that Auburn smells like shit, and I would not come all that way without seeing the greatest college football rivalry of them all, The Iron Bowl.

As a non- Alabamian, I am seeking input on things to do during the week in between games. I am not asking for a babysitter or anything of the like, just suggestions and ideas as to cool things to see/ do in Alabama. Not the token tourist sites, real places that real Alabamians go to and enjoy. I always see shots of Tuscaloosa on gameday/post game and the atmosphere looks like the greatest time, I am beyond pumped for my first Walk of Champions! There will be many photos next to Coach Bear Bryant's statue as well as Coach Saban's.

If anyone has any suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated. As a side note if anybody needs an extra hand to set up or just generally help at any of your tailgates I would be more than happy to help and bring good company!
