TGIF! And even though this is a day late it's still awesome. Can't get much more simple than putting a scoop of ice cream on top of a donut. It's so simple even BixBeiderbecke can do it!
All you need is a dozen or two donuts and a half gallon or so of ice cream. Place the donuts on your grill on low for a minute to two minutes per side.
What we want here is for the sugar to heat up and start to caramelize. You'll need to watch them closely so they don't burn, but some light grill marks are just fine. Lower heat is better but it will take longer.
After the donuts are nice and warm, just put a scoop of your favorite ice cream on top and enjoy!
