Conflicted...

So, I got the sweetest set of ear buds- the Klipsch Image S4i Rugged (MSRP $99.95)

Sweet because they are build for abuse, have a built in Apple mic/control, and sound great for music AND calls. Sweet because they were FREE with United Airline miles (I don't travel enough to get free tickets).

I ordered the RED (Roll Tide!) but received the ORANGE. When I called about this error, I was told the red were on extended backorder and they had the right to substitute.

CONFLICT- sweetest headset I've ever owned in the most hated color.

Life can be so cruel.

ROLL TIDE!

UPDATE 8/28/13:

So, I had the above-mentioned ugly orange headphones plugged into my Gen IiPad (now infected with AIDS - thanksEDSBS!). I set it down on a chair only for it to slip off that chair and land on the floor in such a manner that the male plug bent/broke. Now I had useless ugly orange headphones.

I called Klipsch hoping for a miracle. As I told my story to the rep, he said they would replace them. Going for broke, I asked if he was familiar with college football and told him that I wanted red for Alabama but I was subbed orange and our two biggest rivals had orange as one of their colors.

In the deadest-pan voice i have ever heard, Jon (the rep) says "Yes, I'm familiar with college football. I have season tickets for a certain college in Northern Indiana."

Quickly I said "I'm really glad Notre Dame is relevant again though. It's good for college football when they are." We then had a cool 5 minute conversation about the state of our two programs.

I emailed him the info he needed right away. Yesterday I received an email stating that I would be receiving my RED headphones in 7-10 business days!!!

That'll be just in time to listen to any games on the TuneIn Radio app (thanks for the info on this, CT4) that I won't be able to watch here in Central IL!!!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
