Last nite, I wore my Bama sweatshirt to the Braves game (it was cold and windy). I had a bunch of folks come up and go "Roll Tide" and we'd talk a bit. But one of the ushers came up to me and asked if I had ever heard about the two boys, one a BAMA fan and the other a Vol. I said "No," and so he told me this tale:
Two boys went to high school together, then one went to BAMA and the other to Tennessee. They both graduated the same year, entered the Army, then volunteered for the Special Forces training. Both get accepted and they begin training at the same time. When they finish training, they are put in the same squad and sent to South America on a covert mission. But they both get captured by the rebels and are sentenced to death.
As they are facing the firing squad, the rebel leader says, "I will grant each of you one last wish."
He walks up to the Tenn grad and says, "What is your wish?"
The Vol say, "I really love my alma mater so much, I'd really like to hear 'Rocky Top" one more time."
The rebel leader agrees to this. He then turns to the BAMA graduate and says, "And what is your final wish?"
The BAMA grad says, "Shoot me first."
