The Alabama Women's golf team is currently at four under par after the first two days of the NCAA Tournament. Four under is good enough for second place at the moment. But the defending champs have a big hill to climb as #1 ranked USC had a record setting day and sits 12 shots ahead of Bama at 16 under.
Now making up a 12 stroke deficit is no easy task. But we are playing a familiar track and we still have two days of competition. If we can cut it down to 6 strokes after tomorrow we still have a good shot at the win. Last year we blew a lead even bigger than 12 strokes. So you know it is possible.
By the way, unlike the men, in the women's championship there is no match play portion. It is just 4 days of stroke play.
