I am an avid fan of Alabama football and good television. Two of my favorite shows are Breaking Bad and Dexter. The "Previously on" segments at the beginning of the episodes each week are great refreshers on what is currently happening, as well as showing glimpses of what may soon occur.
I am the type of viewer who emotionally immerses himself into the shows. I have been known to laugh, cry, and get angry at the fictional circumstances that the writers and actors create. That is what I love about great television.
If Alabama's 2012-2013 campaign was a season of television, it would be one that I would compare to the likes of Season 4 of Dexter and the current season of Breaking Bad. It had many more ups than downs, but it was always extremely entertaining. From reminiscing over the beatdowns of Arky/UT/Barn to the emotional roller coasters of the LSU/A&M/GA games to laughing at Te'o in the National Championship, each game had something special to offer.
Like all Bama fans, I expect the upcoming season to be a source of much joy. But all it takes is one injury or one bad game to throw a kink in this impressive championship run. Whatever happens, I guarantee it will be captivating. Nick Saban will not let it be any other way.
In keeping with the theme of television, I believe the following YouTube video serves as a great "Previously on" for Alabama football. It is perhaps the best way to refresh yourself on last season, and a great way to get pumped for the road ahead.
Just a head's up: this video is almost 28 minutes long, as it covers a majority of the big moments of the season.
