Several people who are around the Alabama program have written and otherwise communicate that Luke Del Rio would be the early leader going into spring practice at the quarterback position. As most of you know, Del Rio turned down scholarships at other schools to walk on at Alabama.
LDR had to know when he came to Alabama that at a minimum he would sit behind AJ McCarron and could only hope to vie for the starting job after AJ completed his eligibility. LDR would get a great learning experience and be around winning football.
Has there been any indications that LDR left because of Lane Kiffin? LDR's father Jack is a USC alum and was thought to be a candidate for the USC HC position when LK was released. JDR is the DC for the Denver Broncos. There may be a second shoe getting ready to drop once the Broncos end their playoff run.
Any insider knowledge out there in RBR land ?
