In a shocking turn of events, Rashaan Evans has chosen Bama over Auburn. Evans is a 6'3" 220 outside linebacker from Auburn, Alabama, and is one of the top linebackers in the class. Rivals and 247 both have Evans a 5 star, while ESPN has him as a 4 star recruit.
Check out SB Nation's scouting report for Evans here.
For those unfamiliar with the situation, both of Evans parents are former athletes that played at Auburn, and it was widely expected that pulling him would prove a bridge too far. In the end, we're left more evidence that this recruiting machine that Saban has constructed is more monstrous than any of us can comprehend.
Also, it seems that there may have been a bit of trickeration (lying) afoot on Evans' part, as the Auburn athletic department posted a full profile of Evans as if he were a member of the team about 10 minutes before the announcement was made. That page has of course been scrubbed, but this is the internet, where nothing is really gone. We managed to get a screen cap of it:

We'll have more on Evans tomorrow in our "Better Know Your Bama Recruits: The Latecomers" piece. But for now, let's celebrate what will likely be the only major surprise of the day for Bama.
