I've been putting this off for a long time.

After losing to USC, I called in to work drunk. My boss, rightfully, gave me hell for it.

I just wanted to tell all of you Alabama fans that you're pretty damned decent.

I lived in Norman, Oklahoma, from 1988 - 1999. Those years were the exact eleven years between Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops. My last year at OU, I remember sitting on the steps of Old Science Hall while this unknown defensive coordinator got named to be our head coach. "Great," I thought, " the football program is going to go even further down the tubes." That was neither the first nor the last time I have been wrong.

I have said, and will maintain, that AJ McCarron should have won the Heisman trophy. You cannot have a career like that young man had not be considered one of the best the game has ever seen.

I refrained from writing this post for a few months because I didn't want to be seen as being an arrogant winner.

I actually want to ask Alabama fans what happened in the game. What went wrong for you? What went right for you? (Ahem, Henry.) Can we talk about it from a position of good football rather from a position of emotion? If it's possible, I'd like to discuss the game from the position of a couple guys sitting around drinking beers at a bar. If not, ah, well.

FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.
