Week 1 happenings... LAST YEAR

I copied this from a post on another website(non-pay). If I'm breaking rules, I apologize and please delete it.

I thought this was interesting since after week 1 atm is the national champ, uga has the Heisman winner, and we're extremely over-rated and disappointing.

Let's look at some things that happened week 1 last year:
Alabama, returning an All-American RB, All-American Left tackle, 3 year starting QB, All-Everything WR, etc. beats Va Tech 35-10, with the offense scoring only 14 points. McCarron goes 10 of 23 for 110 yards for a 4.8 YPP average. Yeldon has 73 yards. The Tide's 2nd leading rusher is Altee Tenpenny. Virginia Tech outgains Alabama 212 to 206.

Auburn beats bottom feeder Washington State 31-24. Auburn's offense, which would eventually lead FBS in total yardage and scoring, produces 6 points on 2 FG's in the 2nd half as the Tigers are outgained 464 to 394. Eventual Heisman finalist Tre Mason has a pedestrian 73 yards.

Michigan, who eventually goes 7-6, has fans excited with a 59-9 victory over Central Michigan.

Speaking of Michigan...the team that eventually beats Michigan in a bowl, Kansas State, loses to a Division I-AA team.

Michigan State beats Western Michigan 26-13. Michigan State's offense scores 13 points, but win due to a pick 6 and a fumble return for a TD. Western Michigan goes 1-11 on the season. Michigan State goes 13-1 and wins the Big 10 championship and the Rose Bowl."
