Twitter: Travis Reier Hmm, interesting. I suppose his weight increase would be related to the knee injury, and it would explain why he played so much defensive end in the A-Day game. In any event, if the 260 number is accurate, it shouldn't be an issue now. He was listed at 255 in the media guide a year ago, and his playing weight was likely in the same ballpark then.

Some encouraging news about former UA basketball star Mikhail Torrance from his agent Happy Walters. (the second tweet said "...wake up sooner rather than later. Doctors are taking it slowly.") Torrance, who had previously been diagnosed with a heart condition, collapsed Friday while training at the IMG Basketball Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He was taken to intensive care and doctors induced a coma while evaluating his brain function. The positive CT suggests that even if there was a lack of oxygen to his brain for a period of time, it wasn't sufficient to cause damage. That said, nothing is for sure at this point and Mikhail has a long way to go to get out of the woods but this is certainly the most encouraging news we've had since Friday.

[Eddie] Williams committed to Alabama over offers from Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete is solid to the Tide.

Twitter: Andrew Bone Big, big commitment here for the 2012 class. Williams is out of Panama City, Florida, and is widely expected to be one of the top ten players in the country in the 2012 class. He'll be a safety at Alabama, and from the sound of things has been wanting to commit to 'Bama for a couple of years now. It's hard to find much better recruiting gets than this.

Saunders
Twitter: Travis Haney Um, yeah, "personal reasons," no way that absence is related to Agentgate, what are you smoking? In all seriousness, though, you have to know that heads are going to roll somewhere in this one. Saunders is now out for "personal reasons," and Marvin Austin and Greg Little are working with the second-team at North Carolina. For Dareus, though, until or unless he gets demoted, I'm not overly worried. Update: Spurrier claims it is a violation of team rules, but unrelated to the ongoing NCAA investigation. I'm not buying it, but so be it.
