Alabama at Mississippi State Open Thread

MSU's stadium is the second smallest in the SEC, bigger than only Vanderbilt. Interestingly enough though, MSU's stadium is one of the oldest in the country.

As a Alabama fan who went to State, I do always have bittersweet feelings about us HAVING to demolish the Bulldogs. C'est la vie.  GO BAMA!

And, Davis-Wade is a good stadium.  Not huge, but I like it.  You can easily heer the cowbells on the radio broadcast.

And--a facemask!

We're in good shape as long as we don't turn it over, and a 9-0 lead is pretty good.

We just need a stop and a touchdown and we'll be in great shape.

We're containing Dixon pretty well, too. We're getting a lot of people in the box, and our big linebacker corps is helping a lot to stop his physical style.

A nice long touchdown drive would be nice from the offense. Hasn't happened since John Kerry was last running for president, so we're due.

How in the holy hell can that kid not get it in his head that he must protect the football?

I mean it's one thing that the passing game is shit (8-17 for 68 yards), but you can at least protect the damn football when you have it third and goal from the one with time running out in the half.

Further, these Auburn fans at work were quiet as hell when we were winning, now they are laughing.

And it's so obvious that as much as we are running the ball, despite little to no success, that the coaching staff has no confidence in Wilson's passing ability at the moment.

And we need some interior offensive linemen.

Last year MSU had the ball late like this and ran out the clock. We cannot do that this year.

And after 10 minutes, Croom finally decides to take the penalty.

At this point, the offense is going to have to drive a mile at the very end with extremely little amount of time left.

A best-case scenario will likely mean that we get the ball back with just under one minute left.

Okay, bounches into the end zone and there will be 38 seconds left with us having it at the 20.

Just think if he and Brodie could switch birthdays. I would love to have traded JPW for Brodie this year. We might have won every game considering all of our losses were determined to a great extent by poor decision making/throws by the QB.
