In all seriousness, this is something I would like to understand and I hope our Vol readers will help me out with this one. How do you still support your team? I ask this because, if the roles were reversed and Alabama was routinely mentioned in the same breathe as Miami as a bastion of thuggery and our coach and program were reviled by pretty much the rest of the college football fanbase as hypocrites that escaped probation for their own sins by giving the NCAA a bigger fish to fry, I really don't know how I would be able to justify being a fan of the Tide. If you have any insight other than "Fulmer owns your Bammer asses!" (and yes, it does hurt to be owned by a hypocritcal douchebag, but not as much as it would hurt to be proud of having one as a coach) please leave it in the comments.

I read your first sentence "In all seriousness", and I thought we were actually going to have a pleasant conversation between rivals. And then the crying started. The Bama nation needs to come up here to Nashville and record a few country songs.

To keep this short, all I can say is stop drinking the kool-aid. Do you really think that if the NCAA had evidence of cheating at UT that they would look the other way? Fulmer was not the only coach to tell the NCAA of Bama's cheating (Spurrier, Nutt, etc).

So, if I understand your argument correctly, we should not be UT fans because we have never been caught, but you are proud to be a Bama fan, even though cheating is a well known tradition at Bama dating back to the bear. Uh oh... did I just defame the great one? Yeah, the bear knew how to win titles alright - you buy them.

I was being serious...

...I really want to know the logic involved in standing behind a team and coach and gloating at it's success even though your program's character has been repeatedly dragged through the mud by him? If Fulmer were our coach and we were putting guys like Jamal Lewis and Haynesworth into the NFL I would be embarassed beyond belief and wouldn't be running around talking about how great we are.

Alabama linebacker Juwan Simpson was arrested on Saturday for receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, and carrying a pistol without a license.

Juwan--Coach, you mean I really get to play in the opener?

CMS-You Bet! You see Juwan...it's not fair to the team to suspend all SEVEN players for one game.

BTW...I wonder if the U and FIU take the same approach as CMS? Hmmm?

Y'all don't support Fat Phil

The Knoxville talk radio is full of callers wanting his head. You UT folks should dial in to the Sports Animal sometime 99.1 and listen to John and Jimmy fend off caller after caller wanting to talk about the next slUT coach. My observation of UT fans, they don't know anything about football or tradition. They don't know why they wear orange (it is a myth that an orange flower ever grew up here), they don't know their fight song (they think its rocky top), and can't list the coaches in order, and half of them don't know who is the #2 QB (these are all actual questions I have asked UT fans I work with). In general, UT folks just suck.

I wouldn't piss off the boys from Alabama . . .

What a lame post. First of all, 90% of the Vol Nation is behind Fulmer (Yes, I know, you can't see us due to his size, but we are there).

Secondly, if turning on the head coach is a sign of bad fans, then why has Bama had 4 head coaches in the past 10 years? You just admitted that you suck! I guess you stumbled upon the truth, even if you fell ass-backwards into it.

Also, oh wise one, what color of flowers grow outside of the student center in Starkville??? WHO CARES!
