Auburn Scandal Poll
Media outlets and fan message boards are abuzz about a potential scandal at Auburn regarding athletes and what appears to be an irregularly large amount of independent study courses.
18 players from Auburn's 2004 team (13-0) took a combined 97 hours of independent study courses (including statistics) from the same professor over the course of their careers.
Over 25% of the students in the professor's independent study/directed readings courses were athletes.
How will this end for Auburn?
Nothing will happen?
Slap on the wrist?
Major NCAA sanctions?

I can see why that's front page news in Alabama...

I think...
I guess dubious academic activity by a successful team in the most popular sport in America is something even the NYT would have interest in.
