Fisher to FSU, Kragthorpe to Louisville (?)

It's official, Jimbo Fisher will be the new OC at Florida State.  Even though we didn't land him, at least we won't have to face his offenses anymo...

In other coaching news, the guy I wanted us to hire while still thinking that Saban was a pipe dream, Steve Kragthorpe of Tulsa, is the top choice to replace Bobby Petrino at Louisville.  Along with the bad news for the Golden Hurricane, there's good news for the fellas over at Bruins Nation:

It's believed Louisville also had some initial interest in UCLA's Karl Dorrell, but Kragthorpe is clearly the candidate of choice.

Keep your fingers crossed that Louisville will get "Rod-ed" guys.  There's always hope!

Is anyone really upset about Fisher not coming?
I mean, the guy is an offensive powerhouse in his own right, but he would be gone for a HC job in the near future and a year or two down the road our team is learning a new offense.  Get an OC that will hang around for Saban's tenure (I'd guess 4-5 years) so we can have some stability.

I'm not crying in my beer over it...
...for the reasons you already mentioned, but just like we're excited about the staff and recruits that Saban is bringing to Alabama, I was excited about the prospect of what Fisher could teach his recruits AND the assistants working under him in the (probably) few seasons he would be with us.

win-win
All along I've been saying it's a win-win situation for me, personally, because I'm both a Bama and Florida State grad ...

Oh, well.
I suppose if anyone is prepared to counter a Jimbo offense, it's Nick Saban. And I would imagine Fisher is putting himself in a position to perhaps take the reins at FSU upon Bowden's retirement - assuming of course that Bowden has not achieved Paterno-esque immortality.

What's the story on Louiville's OC?
