I certainly regret...
...turning down my mom's invitation to bring beer over for this game.

I can handle losing, but I at least ask that we look decent when losing.

welllllll...
my decent into horrible depression continues...being in a war zone and watching Alabama play horribly is not a good mix...
JP...you're the 07 Darby...mad potential but no execution...you're a BUM!...sorry to be so strict but you have to hear the truth sometime...

where is...
the sense of urgency at any time other than the end of the game??

Maybe we should start in the "no-huddle, hurry-up" offense from the get go.

And how about let's try using some imagination. What about direct snapping the ball to Javier or actually running a reverse or pretty much anything other than what I'm expecting.

This is just as painful as last year.

Whoah...
...let's not get completely out of perspective here.

Yes, we've played poorly the last two weeks, but this is nothing like last year.

Last year we struggled against EVERY team we played.  This year we blew out a cupcake, had the game against Vanderbilt firmly under control and won a game against Arkansas that would've been a loss last year. Against UGA, we forced OT in a game where we didn't play well and even tonight despite playing like total garbage we were still in it until the horrible coverage by Marquis Johnson got us down 21-7.

With last year's staff, this team is 2-3 right now likely getting blown out a few times and perhaps even slipping to Vandy. No, we aren't a great team, but we are light years beyond '06.

I can't take the barn winning!!
what makes our loss worse is watching Auburn run over Florida....I won't be able to take Auburn winning and us losing...I'll never hear the end of it!!!!

The More Things Change...
I don't see how you can say we're any better than we were last year.  We haven't beaten a good team yet...and without a stroke of incredible luck, we're not going to. You can say it's a lack of talent, but I think we have to look at the coaches.

The players are NOT ready to play.  They're not sure where they're supposed to be.  The defensive backs don't take good angles, and our tackling just flat sucks.  The offensive play calling is unimaginative, and not at all aggressive (since the first quarter against Arkansas).

And John Parker Wilson is killing us.  He's not seeing wide open guys.  He's underthrowing wide open guys.  He's throwing passes Yao Ming couldn't catch on a ladder to wide open guys.  His technique stinks.  Somebody has got to either teach him how to play quarterback, or we've got to give McElroy a try.

I was cautiously optimistic headed intothis season.  I didn't think we should have been 6-6 last year, and I thought that with better coaching we should be 8-4 or 9-3 this year.  But the truth is everybody else on our schedule (except LSU) is way down.  We could/should have beaten both the Dawgs and the Free Shoes guys.

I did not expect perfection from Saban, but I expected preparation and intensity.  I hear people consoling themselves with the fact that we aren't giving up in the fourth quarter....but why are we in such a hole every week?

What?
"I did not expect perfection from Saban, but I expected preparation and intensity"

I see BOTH preparation and intensity - it comes down ro EXECUTION. And we ain't executin'.

well,
i agree with watchman. we seem to have gone from a team that couldn't do anything in the fourth quarter (the last decade or so), to a team that can only do things in the fourth quarter. the execution and intensity are lacking. fsu is not a very good football team, but when we play like busch league hacks, even they will beat you.

Guys Guys Guys
Settle down a little. You can't blame the coaches. This is the same damn talk I've been hearing since Stallings left. Stop complaining about every little thing. The ONLY reason we are even hanging in games this year is because of the coaches. Just b/c Saban is here doesn't mean we automatically win 8,9,10 games. He has to have the right players. We can't run the hurry up offense b/c our defense doesn't have the depth to stay on the field that long. The 3-4 defense will take a few years to develop b/c it takes a certain type of player to run it. Sure the play calling could be better but Wilson can't even complete a simple out route or hitch. This is way more of a personnel problem the coaching. If we want Saban to stick around then we have to be patient. That is something that Bama nation needs to learn and learn it face if we want Saban to stay.

Patience is the ability to endure waiting, delay, or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties.

I agree completely.
My dad kept saying Saturday night--almost like a mantra--"remember Stallings went oh-and-three."  And we have to remember that.  This is a HUGE transition year.  As Nico said, we beat Arkansas--certainly a good team, Watchman, if not a great one--and we were right up on UGA.

There's still a lot of work that needs to be done.  I'm frustrated, but hopeful.  Let's look towards Houston--which will get our feet back under us--and focus on the rest of the year.

As far as Auburn-Florida . . . WOOSH.

Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world.

Where are our Recievers
Earl Alexander had almost as many yards as DJ Hall in the first game he is 6'5 210lbs. He should be another threat on the field becuse we all know that Kieth Brown other than the one KNOCK OUT catch and i do mean knock out is not going to give 100% ??????????????????????
