So naturally we got nominated for Best SEC Blog on a day that we've pretty well done nothing but talk about Girl Fight '08!, which probably won't help us with any voters that ventured over here for the first time to see what we're all about.

And now, a shameless posting of a hott Brittany Snow pic. YOU WILL VOTE FOR HER!

Anyway, I'm fully prepared to play bridesmaid again considering we're up against the likes of Dawg Sports and Rocky Top Talk, two of the finest blogs out there, but I certainly implore all our friends in the blogosphere (that means you, fellow Bama bloggers and Nicole) to vote for OTS's 2007: Pythagorean Wins Revisited post in the Best Analysis category. The guy has done some amazing work ever since he came over to RBR, whether it's covering recruiting, crunching numbers, or just generally being smart about stuff, as opposed to me, who is only really good at posting YouTubes, fairly obvious jokes, and pictures of attractive celebrities, and Nico, who is weird (j/k, bff!). So anyway, while it's nice to be nominated for Best SEC Blog (which, don't get me wrong, we, like, totally want to win and stuff), it's better to have one of his great analytical posts recognized as one of the six best (and hopefully the best) of the year.

Best SEC Blog

I will vote for RBR because I read it every day and I wouldn't if I didn't think it had quality info and also, of course, because I'm a homer. 3 comments, though, about the 3 of you that make it a great read.

1)Nico has been MIA a lot and I miss his posts.

2)OTS was the best discovery and addition for those of us who love to know everything down to the smallest detail about the TIDE and you can take it to the bank that he's done his research.

3)Todd, I enjoy your humor, but I wish you would keep in mind that not everyone who reads this blog is male and not go so overboard on the sexism. I'm here to read about ALABAMA football mainly, plus a little other TIDE sports, and isn't that what the blog is supposed to be about anyway?

That's just one small criticism, otherwise, keep up the good work.

That's an intriguing idea, but I know the ladies are outnumbered here, so it's not a must have. I also realize there's not as much to talk about in the off season, but the girl fight has just been too much and too long and I'm ready for it to be over and move on. BTW, I voted for your Brittany Snow for you.

I am impressed with your knowledge/desire to know more about the TIDE.

This is a nice site for TIDE info. These guys run an informative/entertaining site.

You have to also keep in mind, that most visiting the site are males and like to see an ocassional picture of something besides guys in football pads.

This is a great time for the site... the TIDE is about to bring in the best class ever assemebled at the University.
